Orthodontist in Norwalk, CT
Fit dental appliances in patients’ mouths in order to alter the position and relationship of teeth and jaws, and to realign teeth. Prepare diagnostic and treatment records. Provide patients with proposed treatment plans and cost estimates. Study diagnostic records such as medical/dental histories, plaster models of the teeth, photos of a patient’s face and teeth, and X-rays in order to develop patient treatment plans. Instruct dental officers and technical assistants in orthodontic procedures and techniques. Adjust dental appliances periodically in order to produce and maintain normal function. Coordinate orthodontic services with other dental and medical services. Design and fabricate appliances, such as space maintainers, retainers, and labial and lingual arch wires. Have excellent communication skills and chair side manner. Requires: DMD or DDS in Dentistry, CT Dental License, and Orthodontic Specialty Certificate from an accredited university. Our Story
After graduating, Dr. Seth Newman entered “real world orthodontics” only quickly to realize there was a problem. The focus had become centered around the mechanics of orthodontics and lost sight of those we were there to serve. This frustrated Dr. Newman and he knew he could do it, as some would say, “more better”. In 2007 he opened the doors of Newman Orthodontics with a core value of value: “It’s not about us”. By putting patients first and investing in a first-class team, our vision has become an amazing practice. We love our patients (not in a creepy way) and we know our patients feel the same.
In 2014, Dr. Newman and his team were able to expand these philosophies by opening an office in Garden City. By merging the practices of Dr. Daniel Bythewood and Susan Tierney, they rebranded as Straight Set Orthodontics. Most recently, in 2019 open a new location in New Hyde Park by acquiring the office of Dr. Margaret Zadnik.
Our team of amazing doctors now also includes doctors Tyrun Ray, Tina An, and Himank Gupta. With the mission of providing the best orthodontic treatment in Nassau County, our doctors continually travel nationally and internationally to bring the worlds best treatment home to Long Island.
